About Us

Dottie and Dora, established in 2023 by Siobhán Ring and Alan Twomey on Alan's home farm in Donoughmore, Co. Cork, represents a unique venture blending their backgrounds in dairy and beef farming with their professional careers in agriculture. Initially inspired by their experience with two pet goats, they embarked on a journey to introduce goats as an alternative farming enterprise on a small parcel of land.

Procuring 12 kid female goats from a dairy herd in 2022, Siobhán and Alan laid the foundation for their dairy goat production. Leveraging their expertise and passion for farming, they transitioned into milking goats and producing dairy goat products. The business was named after their first breeding females, Dottie and Dora, who became the esteemed matriarchs of their growing herd.

In 2023, they constructed a modest facility for milking their goats and processing their products. Since their inaugural sale of goat milk in 2023, Dottie and Dora has experienced remarkable growth. Expanding their product range to include soft cheese, goat milk soaps, and lip balms, they have carved a niche for themselves in the local market. Their products became widely available in retailers across County Cork.

Their dedication and innovation did not go unnoticed, as evidenced by their recognition as finalists in the IRD Duhallow Business Awards in the Best Food/Drink Business category in their inaugural year. Moreover, the received a Silver Medal for their Soft Cheese with Peppercorn in the prestigious Cáis Irish Cheese Awards 2024 (in the category 'soft cheese, flavour added').This acknowledgment underscores the success and potential of Dottie and Dora as a thriving agricultural enterprise driven by passion, expertise, and a commitment to quality.

As we look to the future, Dottie and Dora are excited to place a refined focus exclusively on our skincare range, crafted with the finest goat milk from our herd and produce from our bees. Our new direction allows us to concentrate on delivering high-quality, natural skincare products that harness the nourishing properties of goat milk and the healing benefits of honey and beeswax. This transition marks a significant evolution in our business, emphasizing our commitment to sustainability and the well-being of our customers.
